Last Call...

Soooo this it, the last week..

I have decided after a year of trying to be super nurse and mom at the same time, to step back and go back to being MOM to Trey and Parker. I had always wanted to be a nurse growing up, and achieved that goal 14 years ago. However, when Trey was born I decided to take some time off and spend with him, then Parker came. After being at home, I decided to go back to one of my first loves, Nursing. As a mom to a child with special needs I watched as my little boy slipped into some regression.. the crying, the stemming came more often, the "mommy has to go to work now", the weeknds of preparing him for me being on call. At times, I cried silently with him. I wanted to be able to do it all, be SUPER MOM, SUPER WIFE, SUPER NURSE and just plain SUPER!! Well, I crashed and burned...my IBS became unbearable to where I had to see a Gastro MD- which I believe GOD sent me there, thanks to the nice polyp they found.. which was totally unexpected, and stated a couple of years from now.. probably the news would not be so good, then my hair started to thin due to stress, I already have thin hair.. so that was not going to work, the Dr said you have to slowwww down... easy said than done.. I am a perfectionist plus I can do it all!! Right?

My husband so supportive, just shook his head most of the time, but was always supportive. I believe there are seasons for things, and my season of being a Super Nurse comes second to being chosen to be Trey and Parkers mom. So instead of looking and feeling like I failed not being able to do it all, I actually gained knowledge and knowledge they say is POWER!

So thank you for letting me share, therapy I guess.. I do not regret the decision to leave my job, but feel some sadness..

but I will "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" Proverb 3:5

So co-owners get ready the boss is back, and we got work to do..homework, playing, reading together, and just plain loving... O, we do have a Show to get ready for and post new stuff-YAY!

When I received them I was so surprised to see the Autism one. It made me stop and think that the reason I started this company was for Trey and to honor my Grandmother. So once again I say to you both, I love you. All Autism bracelets ordered ,a % will go towards Autism support, research or our Team for the Autsim Walk.

Its that time!

If you are like me, you are preparing to send your little ones back to school. It makes me sad...summer is ending, and I constantly wonder if we did enough, did they have fun, did they think I worked to much...on and on.. So as a get out Trey's uniforms for school I realize, my "little" boy who is now going into first grade, can not wear last year's uniform.. he has grown. How could this have happened? We live in the same house, and see each other every day!! Denial, it is a terrible thing, but this summer he lived in boxers and t shirts, so am I fully at fault?? Sooo- as I was happy at the fact I had completed all my "back to school shopping" , I left out the important - "big boy" cloths.. Well let me get my box of kleenex and head out to the Mall. So if you see me and I am crying, you will know why. They are not tears of joy that he is going back to school, but tears of sadness, because he can't stay with me, in his little boxers.

I guess I better check Parker's closet too.. I may need a case of kleenex.

For you..

We are home after a week at the Beach, and I miss it already!! However, the memories that we created as a family will forever be in my heart. I was surprised by sweet hand holding, beautiful laughter and best of all mud pies, a way to a mom's heart! I watched my son with Autism become one with the ocean... I think secretly the ocean has Autism. What a news story that would be, talk about raising awareness. The two of them played together in their own worlds and watched over each other so carefully. If you think about it the ocean can be unpredictable, just like a child with Autism, however their worlds I envy, for they show no fear and only see the good. O... but should a change occur, they both rage and have meltdowns and let you know, YOU have disturbed their world. Yes, I believe the ocean has Autism, and how jealous I was watching them play and dance together and not let me join in...but how I thanked GOD in my heart for making the ocean and for giving Trey to me.
Parker, well he made friends with the pool... and that is another thought... the pool is all about FUN!! So thank you GOD for my precious boys and the gifts you have given them.

Wow! August already....

Well I can't believe my last post was July 4th! So many things are going on, that I am not sure where to start first.. so I will share just a few things! We are going to have our first advertisement this month in Little Ones Magazine, Kiran has been awesome in helping us design it. So a well deserved Shout out to her. Happy 4th of July!!!

My Son-shines!!!

I am truly amazed at the wonders of GOD. When I think back to when Trey was a baby, and right before we received his Autism diagnosis at the age of 2 1/2, there were limited smiles, minimal laughter, and no words. Now as he plays with his brother, at the age of 6, to see what early intervention, support from teachers, speech therapist,occupational therapist, friends, family, but most of all God's love, we are blessed to see a window of our little boy!! I have never doubted that I was chosen to be his mother, and I cherish every moment. I hope that I can also instill in Parker that he too was chosen to be Trey's brother.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!!!
